Macurco HS-1 Portable Hydrogen Sulfide Gas Detector

The Macurco Single-Gas Monitor Series is designed to continuously monitor the ambient environment and notify the user if the level of the target gas reaches the alarm set point for the monitor. The device is designed to operate for two years and then be disposed of according to local regulations. Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S) is a colorless, flammable, extremely hazardous gas. It occurs naturally in crude petroleum, and natural gas, and is produced by breakdown of organic materials and sewage. Industrial activities that produce the gas include natural gas/petroleum drilling and refining, wastewater treatment, tanneries and paper mills.
Macurco Single-Gas Monitors are uniquely suitable for monitoring specific gases in potentially hazardous atmospheric conditions and are suitable for most industrial applications. They are light, intuitive in design, utilize large glove friendly buttons and are easy to use in the field.
